Objective:
The purpose of this agreement is to carry-out Sabbatical at USDA-SHRS from FIU Scientist. Planning includes 1. Preparing and Submitting Proposals to Federal Agencies: In learning about the USDA-SHRS ornamental research activities and collaboration with other scientists. The Scientist plan to focus on preparing and submitting research proposals to federal agencies, including USDA and NSF. By working closely with the USDA, the Scientist hope to gain insights and collaborate with experts to enhance the quality and potential success of these proposals. 2. Training and Workshops and NACA Agreement: The scientist would like to provide training and workshops for USDA staff and students on essential topics such as tissue culture, synthetic seed production, and cryopreservation techniques. Sharing expertise in these areas will benefit both the USDA-SHRS research station and the individuals involved.

Approach:
During this sabbatical, the FIU scientist aim to engage in several valuable activities at the Ornamental Lab in USDA-SHRS, which will be mutually beneficial to both the USDA, students, and the FIU horticultural scientists of similar interests.
