Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Maize, Zea mays, genotypes that are nonpreferred as hosts for oviposition of the European corn borer, Ostrinia nubilalis are valuable for development of insect-resistant germplasm. Adult resistant and susceptible genotypes showed differences in female responses to their chemical extracts. The chemical identity of the compounds will be discussed.
