Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Users of citrus germplasm require information on phenotype and plant performance, the acquisition of which is resource-intensive. This type of information may be supplemented by molecular marker data. This type of data is valuable in prioritizing accessions for evaluation, preservation, pathogen testing, etc. It is, however, an adjunct to characterization and evaluation and does not obviate the critical need for sound information on the characteristics of accessions.
