Interpretive Summary: An aromatic semidwarf, early maturing germplasm was developed by intercrossing a semidwarf basmati mutant with an early maturing basmati mutant. Thus aromatic se is material which can be grown in US environments, and retains the aromatic and cooking qualities of the original basmati source.
