With a few additional procedures, including some simple macro steps and a data _null_ or two, it is possible to produce highly customized output that practically manages itself. Programs can be built off the old tractor-feed printer report programs already in the company library, or built using PROC REPORT and other base SAS® or GRAPH procedures. Quarterly dairy reports, available to the public via the Internet will be used to demonstrate tools for: creating Internet reports from existing data, that also print well; archiving previous report runs in a chronological index by the same SAS® program that creates the new reports; creating downloadable EXCEL® notebooks for end user data management; using frames, links, and some simple HTML code to make sure it all looks great on your site, and that a search engine can find it. |
