Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Sucrose and cotton (cellulose) are abundant and versatile carbohydrate starting materials that can have widespread non-food and non-textile applications. In this presentation, we will discuss the synthesis and multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance methods that were used to prepare and characterize novel epoxy monomers and pre-polymers from sucrose and cellulose.
