Interpretive Summary: Proper identification and knowledge of the biology and ecology is essential to developing and implementing control strategies for weeds that threaten agriculture, forests, urban, and natural plant communities. An interactive DVD-ROM encyclopedia with over 2400 color photos was developed to provide a comprehensive identification system for 447 weed species in 67 plant families. Distribution maps and habitat, crops affected, and ecological information are provided for each weed species. This DVD is unique because it is the first treatment that includes a combination of interactive keys to mature and immature weeds, an interactive illustrated glossary, three interactive professionally narrated lessons on identification, morphology, and reproduction of plants, a customized presentation maker, and the world of weeds: weed histories series.
