Interpretive Summary: Canada/US-Management Plan for Potato Viruses that Cause Tuber Necrosis A bi-national management plan for potato viruses that cause tuber necrosis. This management plan was originally produced by Canada and the U.S. to provide a framework for control of PVYN, a virus which can cause necrosis in tobacco. This new management plan is a revision of the earlier plan, but is more comprehensive in that potato mop top virus (PMTV) and tobacco rattle virus (TRV) are included with PVYN, which can all cause necrotic symptoms in tubers.
