Technical Abstract: Identification Guide of White Grubs for the Internet--Technology Transfer. The larval stages of scarab beetles are often referred to as white grubs. The grub stages of some scarabs are pests of nursery crops and turf. Many exotic white grubs can be identified to species by the pattern of hairs on their last abdominal segment. The guide of Common White Grubs is a pictorial key of the most common white grubs found in nurseries of northeast Ohio and around the region. It was compiled by the Horticultural Insects Group of ATRU from the literature for use by educators, researchers and other nursery crop professionals.
