Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Invasion of stored-product insects into food processing facilities may be an important, but underappreciated, source of infestation. Invasion can also impact the interpretation of pheromone monitoring programs and the evaluation of treatment effectiveness. Long term monitoring programs conducted inside and outside of flour mills and mark-recapture experiments were used to evaluate the importance of immigration into food facilities and its impact on pest management.
