Interpretive Summary: Several reports of fungicide resistant isolates of the dollar spot fungus have been discovered on southern golf courses. If molecular markers could be correlated with a certain type of resistance, educated decisions could be made as to what fungicide to use against a particular isolate by testing for the diagnostic allele. By not using a “trial and error” type fungicide system, money could be saved by using the appropriate fungicide the first time.
