Theoretical analysis has shown that Federal Reference Method PM10 and PM2.5 samplers demonstrate an over-sampling bias when exposed to particulate matter with a mass median diameter larger than the sampler cut point. The objective of this research is to compare measured concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 from collocated FRM TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 samplers. Analysis of changes in sampler performance and their implications in light of the upcoming PM10-2.5 standard will be presented. |
