Interpretive Summary: The U.S. EPA is responsible for determining methodologies needed in the event of a terrorist attack. Methodologies for cleaning up chemical agents, radioactive isotopes, biological agents, as well as toxins were formulated. This publication summarizes approved methodology for analysis methods.

Technical Abstract: Methodology was formulated for use in the event of a terrorist attack using a variety of chemical, radioactive, biological, and toxic agents. Standardized analysis procedures were determined for use should these events occur. This publication is annually updated.
