Technical Abstract: Several bacteria are reported to attack hop infrequently, including a Corynebacterium spp. and Xanthomonas campestris pv. cannabis. Reports of Pseudomonas cannabina as a pathogen of hop can be found in the popular press, although the limited information on this organism in the scientific literature indicate the host range of P. cannabina does not include hop. The diseases these pathogens cause on hop are uncommon and generally not of economic concern. A review of the body of knowledge on these diseases is presented in this chapter. |
