Genetic variability in arsenic concentration and speciation in rice grain. In: Proceedings of the 32nd Rice Technical Working Group Meetings, February 18-21, 2008, San Diego, CA. 2008. CDROM. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Field studies were conducted in 2004-2007 with selected rice varieties to evaluate arsenic concentration and speciation (methyl-arsenic:inorganic-arsenic ratio) in the rice grain. There were substantial differences between rice varieties for each of these traits, which demonstrate the potential to select and breed rice varieties for negligible potential arsenic hazard. |
