Interpretive Summary: Leaf beetles are among the most important insects affecting U.S. agriculture. Many are serious pests and destroy valuable crops costing millions of dollars annually. Others are important biological control agents that can be used to control unwanted and invasive weeds. This work provides a complete list of all species of one of the most primitive groups of leaf beetles in Europe, Northern Africa and Asia, and provides details of their geographic distribution. This study will be useful to biological control workers, taxonomists, ecologists, and anyone interested in plant-feeding beetles.

Technical Abstract: The Palearctic fauna of Sagrinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is cataloged. Full synonymy and geographic distribution data are presented for each species.
