Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Blueberries are the most valuable small fruit crop grown in the Southeastern U.S., and are not only popular among commercial producers, but also among hobbyists. Blueberry plantings are relatively expensive to establish and successful production requires an understanding of several key factors. Careful consideration must be given to site selection, cultivar selection, pest control, water availability and quality, and harvesting, handling and marketing. This production guide discusses recommendations on these factors for Mississippi and the Gulf-Coast region of the U.S.
