Interpretive Summary: Current and previously published catalogs of the dipteran family Culicidae do not include a citation category for descriptions and illustrations of the female genitalia of included taxa. The present article contains literature citations of species illustrations and/or descriptions of female genitalia for taxa in the very large mosquito tribe Aedini and provides valuable information useful in separating these taxa. This work was completed at the Center for Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary Entomology of the United States Department of Agriculture, Gainesville, Florida. The article will be published in the scientific journal, Contributions of the American Entomological Institute.

Technical Abstract: Species of the mosquito tribe Aedini with illustrations and/or descriptions of the female genitalia are listed and include corresponding literature citations. Approximately 44% of aedine species currently have published partial or complete illustrations and/or descriptions of the female genitalia.
