Tillage and nutrient source effects on Nitrogen Availability in a southern Piedmont soil [abstract]. 32nd Southern Conservation Tillage Conference for Sustainable Agriculture (SCTCSA), July 20-22, 2010, Jackson, Tennessee. CDROM. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Nitrogen management in cropping systems is influenced by the nutrient source and the tillage system used. We evaluated nitrogen mineralization over three years for a corn cropping system at Watkinsville, Ga in the southern Piedmont. Tillage treatments were conventional and conservation. Nutrient sources were poultry litter and conventional fertilizer. Tillage and nutrient source effects as well as environmental impacts on N cycling were apparent. This is a preliminary abstract and will be updated later. |
