A working ranch with an effective medusahead program. Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center. p.1-4. Interpretive Summary: For EBIPM to be successfully adopted, producers need examples of where the method has been applied with positive results. The objective of this bulletin, which describes the management plan developed on a central Oregon ranch, is to provide ranchers a perspective on the actual treatments and level of commitment to restoring medusahead-infested land and to encourage prevention strategies. The bulletin details the approach taken to manage medusahead, the treatments applied and their cost and the successes and failures of various treatments. This bulletin is intended to demonstrate that success is possible through persistent, integrated treatments on rangelands.
