Interpretive Summary: Leaf beetles are serious pests, feeding on crops and destroying other economically important plants. Leaf beetles are also important as biological control agents of noxious and invasive weeds. This work provides a detailed overview of adult, egg, larval, and pupal morphology, biology, classification and distribution of case-bearing leaf beetles. This study will be useful to biological control workers, taxonomists, ecologists, morphologists and those interested in plant-feeding beetles.
