Interpretive Summary: Since 2005, ranchers Ben and Barbara McGough of the Circle Bar Ranch in Mitchell, OR have been implementing ecologically-based invasive plant management (EBIPM) for extensive infestations of the invasive annual grass, medusahead on their property. This video details the scope of the problem, the impact medusahead was having on the ranch production goals and how they have used EBIPM to develop site specific treatments to restore medusahead infested fields. Having a case study in EBIPM that land managers who are challenged with invasive annual grass infestations substantiates the effectiveness of this decision framework to manage invasive annual grasses.
