Uncertainty analys for cotton gin PM10 emissions. ASABE Annual International Meeting. Presentation ONLY; Number 121337019. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Due to EPA’s implementation of more stringent standards for particulate matter (PM) with an effective diameter less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) and the limited availability of PM2.5 emissions data, the cotton ginners’ associations across the cotton belt agreed that there is an urgent need to collect gin emission data. An ambitious sampling campaign was conducted during the ginning seasons from 2008 to 2011, where every process stream emission point at seven cotton gins across the cotton belt was extensively sampled using EPA source sampling methods for total suspended particulate, PM10, and PM2.5. This paper summaries a preliminary analysis of the uncertainty associated with the cotton gin PM10 emission factorsdeveloped. |
