Both were synthesized in high yield and characterized analytically. Cotton fabric was treated with both to obtain add-on values of 2 and 7 % for PDP and 3 and 8 % for PAP. 7 % PDP passed vertical flammability test with 2.0 cm char length. PDP samples displayed higher limiting oxygen index values and char percent at 600oC as compared to PAP ones. In addition, data on micro combustion calorimetry, surface morphology, and content of nitrogen and phosphorus on treated fabrics will be presented. |
