Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: PD 05035, PD 05041, PD 05064, PD 05069, PD 05070, PD 05071, PD 06001, and PD 06078 are noncommercial breeding lines of cotton jointly released by the Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture, Clemson University Experiment Station, and Cotton Incorporated in 2014. These eight breeding lines were released to the industry as germplasm lines because they possess a combination of high yield potential, broad adaptation, excellent fiber quality, and superior fiber spinning performance. Each of the eight possesses outstanding fiber quality properties and fiber spinning characteristics significantly better than several commercial cultivars. The combination of high yield potential, excellent fiber quality, and superior fiber spinning performance make these eight germplasm lines valuable genetic resources to cotton breeding programs.
