Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Daily minimum and maximum temperatures collected from grower-collaborators were used to calculate site specific degree-days. Using our new understanding of Sparganothis phenology, plant phenology were examined relative to moth phenology, allowing us to predict moth development in parallel with plant development. Specifically, degree-days were correlated with marsh-specific plant phenology events. Using laboratory collected data regarding Sparganothis fruitworm temperature thresholds and field collected data of Sparganothis phenological events, plant phenology is then correlated with Sparganothis phenology. |
