Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This is the second year of comparative testing of crygenically treated gin saws versus standard gin saws. Paired sets of standard and experimental saws were installed in Lummus saw gin stands that were operated side by side during the 2015/2016 ginning season. Test criteria will include saw wear evaluation at the end of the ginning season. The hypothesis being tested is that the experimental gin saws have superior wear properties when compared to standard gin saws. This test is currently underway as of October 14, 2015.
