Interpretive Summary: The complete genome sequence of a new strain of pathogenic leptospire, designated Leptospira alstonii serovar room 22 strain GWTS#1, is presented.

Technical Abstract: We report the complete genome sequence of Leptospira alstonii serovar room 22 strain GWTS#1. This is the first isolate of L. alstonii to be cultured from a mammal, in Western Europe, and represents a new serovar of pathogenic leptospires.
