Technical Abstract: This report provides an update on several projects that are fostered by the International Fruit Tree Association which covers some aspects of rootstock development, performance in the orchard and to address nursery industry needs. The report highlights results from graft union strength experiments, Tomato Ringspot Virus testing of apple rootstocks, rootstock induced changes in nutrient concentration of trees on Geneva rootstocks, performance of apple rootstocks in conventional and organic field trials with Honeycrisp and SnapDragon as scions, and cherry rootstock trials in New York State.
