Technical Abstract: This talk is part of a technical short course on “Soil mapping and process modelling at diverse scales”. In the talk, guidelines, special considerations, protocols, and strengths and limitations are presented for characterizing spatial and temporal variation in soil salinity at several spatial scales using proximal and remote sensing.
