Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: With the changes currently taking place nationally in the pecan industry, and the production issues faced specifically by growers in Georgia and elsewhere in the southeastern region, the pathology research projects funded by the Georgia Commodity Commission for Pecans (CC) are reviewed. The results of this research (use of phosphite chemistry for control of scab, disease distribution in pecan canopies, hedge pruning and spraying methods) have direct impact on growers in Georgia, affecting production management decisions and ultimately profitability. The results of the research are discussed.
