Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Septoria tritici blotch (STB) and Fusarium head blight (FHB) are two of the most devastating diseases of wheat. Breeding for host resistance is an important component of integrated strategies for STB and FHB control. We identify genes and functional gene markers that can be used to expedite the process of STB and FHB disease resistance breeding. Below are examples of our current studies to identify and characterise disease resistance and susceptibility genes.
