Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The epigenomic study has greatly facilitated the development of life science in recent years and opened a momentous opportunity for animal science. Epigenetic research activities on farm animal species were lagged behind extensive work in humans and model organisms. This chapter introduces recent achievements on epigenetic research and development in livestock and presents recent major advances in epigenetics and transgenerational epigenetics in livestock animals.
