Technical Abstract: The Limited Irrigation Research Farm (LIRF) is located in north-central Colorado (USA) near the city of Greeley. The research focus is to explore management objectives focused on maintaining high crop yields with limited water supplies. Researchers, which include agricultural engineers and plant physiologists, focus on the objectives from several different angles – including quantification of evapotranspiration via water balance, development of crop coefficients, detection and quantification of stress using infrared thermometry and ground-based remote sensing, and plant-based physiological measurements. This presentation will show the project layout and experimental design, overview of the datasets being collected, and prior results found.
