Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: In each Rangeland Ecology and Management, I am responsible for choosing, promoting, and describing a best in issue manuscript called the Editors Choice. In this selection, I discuss the historical role of cattle movement across large landscapes, and discuss the author’s view of how that movement rarely not is occurring today, especially through land with various ownership.
