In 1995, plant material transfer agreements were also accepted among all cooperators in the UPPT. The purpose of these tests is to evaluate the commercial potential of advanced breeding lines not formally released to see how they perform across a wide range of diverse environments. The same controls lines are used in every test and every location to provide uniformity. Technical Abstract: The Uniform Peanut Performance Tests (UPPT) are designed to evaluate the commercial potential of advanced breeding peanut lines not formally released. The tests are performed in ten locations across the peanut production belt. In this study, 2 controls and 15 entries were evaluated at 8 locations. |
