Interpretive Summary: Many insects are undercollected, leading to very limited known ranges, which hampers research and agricultural risk assessments. Here, new distribution records are reported for three rare species of membracids. This data will be useful for reseachers and the US Animal and Plant Inspection Service

Technical Abstract: New specimens and distribution records are reported fo two rare species: Flynnia fascipennis (Funkhouser), first record from Brazil, and Lewdeitzia lunata Dietrich and McKamey, first record from the Brazilian states of Paraná and Piauí.
