Technical Abstract: This presentation was given to the World Trade Organization, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and International Trade Centre to present the U.S. experience in value-added processing of cotton byproducts to improve the economic value to cotton producers. The focus of the meeting was technology transfer and assistance to the Least Developed Countries (LDC's) of Africa (Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia) and the C-4 countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali). The presentation covered the successes and challenges of cotton byproduct research of the Cotton Production and Processing Research Unit in Lubbock, TX.
