Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Our session highlights the evolution of ecological restoration in the Midwest since its origins. The first presenter will discuss the legacy of ecology and restoration in the Midwest and its evolution with a focus on the contributions of Chicagoland individuals. The second presenter will review case studies of the evolution of ecological restoration in the region and how the field continues to develop in response to changing land-use, climate and invasive species.
