Interpretive Summary: The geographic distribution of insect species is dynamic and updated as new records are discovered. In this article, new state records for three species of lady beetles are reported from two states in the south-central USA. These lady beetles have no common names and are known simply by their scientific names. Two of these, Hyperaspis bolteri and Exochomus childreni guexi, are newly reported for the state of Missouri. The third, Hyperaspis connectens, is newly reported for the state of Mississippi. Many lady beetle species prey on insects and other arthropods. Knowledge about the geographic distribution of predatory insects contributes to a basic inventory of insect communities within various regions and may be useful for improved understanding of pest and prey interactions within particular communities.

Technical Abstract: New state records for three species of lady beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae: Coccinellinae) are reported from two states in the south-central USA. Hyperaspis bolteri LeConte and Exochomus childreni guexi LeConte are newly reported for the state of Missouri, and Hyperaspis connectens (Thunberg) is newly reported for the state of Mississippi.
