Interpretive Summary: This technical bulletin reviews the biological control research for the invasive weed Chinese tallowtree in southeastern U.S. Forests. Chinese tallowtree is a weed of wetlands, forests, and natural areas in the southeastern U.S.A. Biological control efforts have focused on the flea beetle (Bikasha collaris) and the defoliator Gadirtha fusca. Both species have been recommended for release against this invasive weed and will be released soon.
