Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Every food systems model offers insight into how food systems function, but no single model gives you a complete picture. Reflecting back across the book, this chapter gleans lessons on the epistemology of modeling, how to synthesize across multiple models, and how to make models more valuable to non-modelers. Looking forward, the chapter discusses the continued need for innovation in integrating models and in conducting effective interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work.
