Interpretive Summary: The annual joint meeting joint provides an opportunity for sugarcane scientists from both of the U.S.’s two key production regions, Louisiana and Florida, to discuss the mutual and unique challenges facing the respective industries and present research progress. This year’s meeting was held virtually during 15-16 June 2021. The meeting was intended to be held in New Orleans but was transitioned to a virtual format due to travel restrictions relating to the ongoing pandemic.
