Technical Abstract: We report the first confirmed occurrence of Anthonomus rubi, the stawberry blossom weevil, a devastating weevil pest of Rosaceous berries, in the United States. This first report is located in the nations second largest raspberry production region and establishment of this pest poses substantial risk to regional farmers. This species was reported in Canada earlier in the year and imports of berries from Canada into the United States were impacted. This report may affect existing US policy regarding the importation of Canadian berries.
