A general picture of how the spread of viroids can be prevented is depicted through specific examples of regulations and policies governing the introduction and distribution of perennial plant species, including citrus, apple, hops, and date palm trees. This chapter also provides general information on issues to consider when conducting research using plant materials and provides an example of how to apply for permits and phytosanitary certificates. |
