Technical Abstract: This presentation informs the New Mexico Cotton Growers Association of current research at the USDA-ARS cotton ginning and textile processing laboratories. Projects included cotton plastic contamination detection and removal, gin machinery investigations to improve cotton quality and ginning efficiency, and modeling the cost of conventional and high-speed roller ginning and saw ginning.
