Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This slide presentation will first review recommended methods for establishing alfalfa by interseeding into corn silage. Next, alfalfa establishment, forage yields and forage quality of the corn-alfalfa intercropping system will be compared to conventional corn-alfalfa production systems. The presentation will conclude by describing ongoing work designed to further improve the reliability and profitability of the corn-alfalfa intercropping system.
