Citrograph. 14(1):20-21. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Chester N. "Chet" Roistacher worked as a Plant Pathologist at the University of California Riverside from 1949 to 1986. During this time, he was instrumental in developing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques used to produce clean stock citrus propagative materials. These techniques are still used worldwide to produce clean stock for certification programs. Roistacher was also instrumental in spreading information on these techniques around the world through his consulting and teaching activities. This article recognizes his contributions upon his demise in 2022. |
