Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This study is the first report of the stalk borer Diatraea impersonatella (Walker) on sugarcane in Honduras. A total of 162 larvae were collected from sugarcane crops in the Department Francisco Morazán, Municipality Villa de San Francisco, Honduras, during November 2022 to January 2023. The larval specimens were reared with the objective of obtaining adults for the morphological identification of the species through the inspection of male genitalia.
