Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: A presentation will be made of 2022 activities related to research, student training, extension and outreach activities of the Center for Biological Control (CBC). The Center is a partnership between Florida A&M University (FAMU), an 1890 Historically Black College and University in the southeast area, USDA-ARS-CMAVE and USDA-APHIS-PPQ-CPHST. The collaboration between faculty, scientists, students and staff including mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students will be highlighted. The CBC advisory council is composed of faculty, scientists, business owners, staff from Univ. of FL, FAMU, Division of Plant Industry-FL Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, USDA-ARS-CMAVE, USDA-APHIS-PPQ-CPHST, Dr. Buggs Exterminators, Inc., Orchard Pond Organic Farm, among others.
